Health and Nutrition

CJF Canada joint venture with CJFI Philippines’ in providing supplemental feeding programs for malnourished children in depressed communities in the Philippines where malnutrition among children is very prevalent.

In 2011 the rate of malnourished Filipino children aged 5 years and below is 33.6% (World Bank website). This problem increases every year. In 2005, the rate was 24.6% which rose to 26.2% in 2008 for the same age level of Filipino children.

This is the reason CJF Canada puts the health of Filipino children one of the top priorities of its charity works as its primary benefactor upon inception.
